Mark Elliott, founding member of BSI-Auto, made career choices that gave him exposure to many levels of IT, Outsourcing and Business Process re-engineering. Mark has held positions at management level in large corporate companies as well as owning businesses prior to forming BSI.
Mark identified a gap in the motor industry service departments and thought he could add value, this lead to the primary product “BSI-Auto” being developed and the formation of the company commonly referred to as “BSI”.
Business Systems Integrated Applications (BSI) had its humble beginnings towards the end of 2003 with the “official” start of business being 1st November 2003.
From the very first day that BSI was formed the strong vision and philosophies have guided the company to achieve success. Examples of the sort of principals that drive BSI are:
- Always looking for ways of adding value to our customers business
- Providing consistently high levels of after sales support
- Sharing the risk with our customers by not locking them into contracts with us
- Providing good value for money products and services
- Evolving our products and service with the changing needs of our customers
Many companies talk about the points listed above but often fall short in delivery. BSI has managed to deliver on our promise because of our people. We constantly evaluate and guide our own people to ensure that they are always improving. Each staff member shares in the success of the company so has a vested interest in making it work. We also empower our staff to make informed decisions by providing clear guidelines and procedures.
BSI Auto has grown from strength to strength and many large motor manufacturers have made BSI a standard in their dealerships. The product has grown in functionality by adding features and modules to the main product and versatility by integrating with some of the large DMS (Dealer Management Systems). This growth has even lead to many international brands showing interest in BSI.
BSI has grown as a company to support this growth and now has a national footprint with representation in all major metropolitan areas.
